UL Green Campus Features at Clubs & Soc’s Opening Day

UL Green Campus created an-environmentally themed presence at the Clubs and Societies Open Day at the Sports Arena yesterday. Interested students learnt about what the Green Campus Committee does and how they can become part of how the campus is managed from an environmental point of view.

The poster provocatively asked passers-by if they were interested in Energy, Water, Travel and Transport, Biodiversity or Waste. It is under these five themes that Irish universities can apply for Green Flag status. The UL Green Campus is particularly focused on allowing the voice of students to shape the promotion of green issues on campus. One of the aims of yesterday’s promotion was to add to the already good number of students that attend the Green Campus Committee meetings on a regular basis.
