2017 Beginners Beekeeping Course

The UL Apiary Project and UL Environmental Committee are pleased to announce the 2017 Beginners Beekeeping Course.

The course is delivered by Banner Beekeepers and will run for 6 weeks from Wednesday 1st March from 7-9pm

Week 1 – Honeybees

Week 2 – Lifecycle of the bee, biology and foraging

Week 3 – the beehive

Week 4 – The beekeeping year

Week 5 – Pests and diseases of the honeybee

Week 6 – Honey, the honey harvest and products of the hive
VENUE:  Kemmy Business School, ground floor, ROOM:KBG14. Free parking is available beside the building.

The course is open to both UL and non UL people. For UL Staff and Students the course costs are covered by the UL Environmental Committee’s Apiary Project.
All external people will have to become a member of the Banner Beekeepers (www.bannerbeekeepers.com<http://www.bannerbeekeepers.com>) for €45. This will cover the Beginners course and insurance for site visits.
