Screening of “Digital Dumping in Ghana” followed by discussion with the filmmaker, Peadar King
Monday 27th February (Week 6) at 6pm in KBG-13
Digital Dumping in Ghana is part of the “What in the World?” documentary series which aims to raise greater public awareness on a range of global development and human rights issues. Presented by Peadar King, this series illustrates the human consequences of global economic inequalities and human rights violations, by focusing on how people encounter these issues on a daily basis. This episode examines the situation in Agbogbloshie, a former wetland in Ghana which is now home to the world’s largest e-waste dump, to explore the costs of disposable consumerism.
